DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TBILISI
Meeting at Tbilisi International Airport with a guide. Transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in and short rest
DAY 2: TBILISI CITY TOUR
Breakfast in the hotel. Explore Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia founded in the 5th c by King Vakhtang Gorgasali. First visit to Metekhi church (13th cc) a cross – cupola church, part of the Royal residential complex. Continue the tour going down to Sioni Cathedral, considered the symbol of Tbilisi. A short glimpse Anchiskhati basilica and bell tower (6th -18th cc). ). Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch visit to Narikala Fortress (4th c) – main citadel of the city, which overlooks the oldest part of Tbilisi. During centuries Narikala was considered the best strategic point of the city. Ascending by funicular road, descending by foot. After the getting panoramic view we visit Sulphur bath houses. Walk through the old town, the ancient streets where the souvenir shops are located. Next visit to National Museum of Georgia that contains an exhibition of gold work. These are extraordinary specimens of gold filigree and reposes work discovered at important archaeological sites. Dinner at a local traditional restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi.
DIA 3: TBILISI– MESTIA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Svaneti region that is a historic region of Georgia. The landscape of Svanetia is dominated by mountains of between 3 000-5 000 m of altitude. Four of the highest peaks of the Caucasus Mountains are found in the region and the highest peak in Georgia, Mount Shjara (5065 m). Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch departure to Mestia, the administrative center of the Svaneti region. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mestia.
DIA 4: MESTIA –BECHO – MESTIA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Becho village. The route connects the municipality of Mestia with the village Becho that goes along the Dolra river. It is the route through which it is possible to see the mountain range
s of Ushba-Mazeri, reason why it will be possible to approach Ushba, mount that has 4700 m and is very picturesque with its two summits. Lunch picnic. After lunch we continue to Mazeri village. The route is 17 km long and lasts 8 hours. Return to Mestia. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mestia.
DAY 5: MESTIA – JABESHI
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Jabeshi village. The route is 9 km. You will pass small villages of Svaneti with old towers. Lunch picnic. After lunch we continue to Jabeshi village. Check-in at the guest house. Dinner and overnight at the guest house in Jabeshi.
DIA 6: JABESHI – ADISHI
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Adishi village. The route is 10 km. The route begins in the village of Jabeshi. We will pass coniferous forests and the alpine area. Lunch picnic. After lunch we continue to Adishi village. During the route up to 2700 m. Arrival in Adishi village. Check-in at the guest house in Adishi. Dinner and overnight at the guest house in Adishi.
DIA7: ADISHI – IPRALI
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Iprali village. The route is 9 km. The route begins in Adishi village near the adishi river. We will pass several villages with towers and the alpine area. Lunch picnic. After lunch we continue to Iprali village. During the route up to 2400 m. Arrival in Iprali village. Check-in at the guest house in Iprali. Dinner and accommodation in the guest house in Iprali.
DIA8: IPRALI – USHGULI – MESTIA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Ushguli village. The route is 9 km. The route begins in the village of Iprali. We will pass several villages along the river Enguri, which is born in the region and plays a very important role in hydroelectric production in the area. It has 213 km of length. Picnic lunch. After lunch we continue to Ushguli village. During the route up to 2200 m. Arrival in Ushguli village. We follow the route to the foot of the highest peak of Georgia, Shkhara. Return to Mestia by car. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mestia.
DIA 9: MESTIA- TBILISI
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tbilisi. Stop by the road in the dam of Enguri, built in 1988 with a height of 240 meters. In total, it is the largest construction in the whole Caucasus with 750 meters long and 271.5 meters high. It is the highest continuous wall in the world, and is the third dam completed by its size. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we continue our journey to Tbilisi. Return to Tbilisi. Check in at the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi.
DAY 10: DEPARTURE DAY
Transfer to the airport and departure.
